In this session, we’ll explore the truth, goodness, and beauty of living stories within a Charlotte Mason education, with a focus on fairy tales and mythology. As we consider the importance of literature lessons, we’ll examine why these enduring stories have held a place in education across times and cultures—and why they still matter today. Attendees will discover how tales and myths connect us to different cultures and generations, nurture the imagination, and cultivate the science of relations. You will learn how stories grow your students as readers and how these stories are a beautiful and rich part of a living education. We’ll also consider how these stories often reflect glimpses of the gospel, pointing us toward the Truest and Best Story found in Scripture. Attendees will leave equipped to confidently welcome these living stories into their homes and classrooms as a rich and formative part of a living education.
